‘You have done so well lately. But the number of players envious of your achievements has grown and someone has been stirring up trouble. They plan to team up on you. I think it’s time for a showdown, kid’
Showdown temporarily takes over the championship, allowing you to progress from Stage to Stage while showing your opponents that you are not to be messed with.
- The aim is to get the required number of medals to get promoted before the timer is up
- All medals you gain are yours and no one will win them back. But if you don’t collect enough before the timer is up, they get reset and you need to start from scratch
- Pick any player from the table and use Double medals, Sabotage (deactivates a random part on opponent's car) or Grenade (takes 30% off opponent's health) before the fight. You can use only one of each booster type in every fight
- After the fight, you will have an opportunity to use the Medal Multiplier in case of victory and Sabotage the opponent in case of defeat, if you haven't used these boosters before the start of the fight
- When all opponents in the table are defeated, use yummy Fish to lure new players in (they will bring better rewards, too!)
So where to get all those useful things? Some you will get at the start of the Showdown, but after that look for them in boxes (Fish), get them as rewards for defeating all opponents in the highlighted rows or columns, as extra rewards for defeating some opponents, and from the game store.
Some opponents will offer more than others. There are Jokers that will give a random extra reward, you will recognize them by the purple background of their cells. And there are Extra opponents that have decided to join the fun but have to wait for their queue to challenge you. They will be locked until you defeat all opponents in their row or column. Once you defeat such an opponent, a timer will start counting the 30 minutes till another extra opponent appears in the same cell. If you defeat several extra opponents, remember that only one can be restored at a time, so the timers will be queued.
Among the rewards that can be gained in the Showdown will also be special keys to some very special boxes in the game store!
And if you are still worried about that round timer, there will be an opportunity to get some extra time as well.
